Sales Training: See the opportunities!  Seize the opportunities!

Many people go through life and do not see the positive sales possibilities around them.  Others see the sales possibilities but never act on them.  My friend, the only way to succeed in sales and in life is to first see the possibilities and then seize them by harnessing the courage to act on them. 

I know a great poem written by an unknown author, which speaks to this truth.  Live by this poem and watch your sales soar. The poem is titled “It Can Be Done.”

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done, but they with a chuckle replied, that “maybe it couldn’t” but they would be the ones who wouldn’t say so until they’d tried.

So they buckled right in with a trace of a grin on their face.  If they worried, they hid it. They started to sing as they tackled the thing that couldn’t be done.  And they did it. 

Somebody scoffed, “Oh you’ll never do that,at least no one ever has done it.”

But they took off their coats and took off their hats and the first thing they knew they’d begun it;

With the lift of their chins and a bit of a grin, if any doubt rose they forbid it;

They started to sing as they tackled the thing that couldn’t be done, and they did it. There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, there are thousands to prophesy failure; there are thousands to point out to you, one by one, the dangers that wait to assail you, but just buckle right in with a bit of a grin,     

Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing that cannot be done, and you’ll do it.      

You have what it takes.  This is your day.  See those positive possibilities around you and seize them by taking action.  Go out there and sell something.
