Sometimes the best thing to do in our sales career is the hardest thing to do
-”Wait on the Lord.” We live in a
fast food age where we want everything as quickly as possible.
We say things like, “I don’t want to go there they take too long,” or
“Can you believe it took them the entire day to fix my car?”
or "Why can't my prospect make their decision today." We don’t want
to wait. We want the sale now.
I
am not exempt from this attitude.
Patience has been a challenge for me.
But one thing I have learned is that God’s timing is perfect.
If we wait on Him then He will send us what we need and when we need it.
Dr. Robert Schuller said,
“God’s delays are not God’s denials.”
But why do we need to wait?
Sometimes we aren’t ready to receive the blessing.
God has to get us ready first.
Maybe we need to learn something first or maybe grow in our spiritual
life. God knows and He has good
planned for us (see Jeremiah 29:11).
We all need to keep the faith, hold onto the dream, persevere, and “wait
on the Lord.” As it says in the
Bible, “But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again.
They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need
rest; they will walk and not become tired” (Isaiah 40:31 NCV).
